Current Update - September 14, 2026

This release brings a combination of new features, resolved issues, and planned improvements to channel functionality.

This update includes new features, error corrections, and planned channel updates.

New Features

The new functionality is described below:

Amazon Business Rules Now in Product Grid

Amazon listings must meet Amazon's business rules before they can be submitted. Previously, many of those rules were not shown upfront in the product grid, so a listing could appear ready in PDX but still fail submission.

Now, the official business rules documented by Amazon are shown upfront in the product grid for all Amazon product types. The requirements apply to every Amazon product type in a channel and include attributes only required by Amazon under specific conditions. This update builds on previous business rule updates as detailed in the July 8 update notes (Amazon Business Rules Added to Select Categories) and August 19 update notes (Amazon Business Rules Added to More Categories).

Additionally, when a rule applies but the data does not meet the rule requirements, the affected cell is highlighted in red, which matches existing grid validation errors. This allows for error identification and correction across the full catalog prior to submission, reducing late-stage rework and raising listing quality without waiting for Amazon product rejection.

Amazon Listing Values in Validation and Submit

Previously, when Amazon had an existing live listing (SKU) for a product, the PDX validation and submit processes did not reliably display that information to users in the UI.

Amazon product data can differ between the catalog (ASIN) and the listing (SKU), so users could not always identify which value Amazon would accept.

Now, when a product has an ASIN and PDX also finds a matching Amazon listing, validation reports that the listing exists, along with its external ID and SKU. That match does not depend on the SKU in PDX being an exact match to the SKU on Amazon.

When validation or submit reports an issue on an attribute, the message also includes the listing's current value for the affected attribute:

On submit, attributes configured as ones that should not be updated after the first publish will now use the following:

  • The listing's attribute values when both an ASIN and a listing exist

  • The catalog's attribute values when an ASIN exists, but there is no listing.

This functionality is enabled for all clients on all Amazon channels. Users can see which Amazon listing PDX matched and what that listing currently holds, so they can align values with more certainty. Locked-after-publish attributes are sent from the listing when one exists so that Amazon's current listing values are kept.

Digital Catalog Enhancements

The Digital Catalog is now able to support longer product names in the gallery view, allowing a total of 45 characters. Additionally, brands can choose a product identifier to be shown below the product name, which makes finding specific products of interest easier for Digital Catalog users.

UI Modernizations

A number of pages have received design changes to keep the UI fresh and modern. Below is an example of the Channels marketplace page update in the PDX application:

Below is a full list of updated pages:

  • Channel management page in Channel Developer Console

  • Product List and Catalog List pages in Digital Catalog

  • Channel List page in Retailer Portal

  • Direct Channel List, Vendor Channel List, Vendor Channel Output Summary, Channels Marketplace, and Product Details pages in PDX

  • Channel List in ECS

Error Corrections

Error corrections are described below.

Digital Assets Page

The Digital Assets page no longer displays all available assets when no matches are found based on the search string entered.

Additionally, the Digital Assets page no longer hides the Delete / Clear selection buttons when multiple assets are selected.

Lastly, the search mechanism has been adjusted so that a partial text search (entering the first three characters or more) only shows results that match the asset name. Previously, assets with matching IDs would also show up in the search results. Users can still search for assets with a specific ID by entering the entire asset ID of interest in the search field.

Minor Error Corrections

  • Fixed an issue preventing users without client admin privileges from accessing the Vendor Portal using the App Switcher.

  • Fixed an issue preventing users from applying filters using the 'Enter' key.
