Customer and Supplier MDM Enhancements
Summary
The following enhancements to Customer Experience Data Cloud (CXDC), Business Partner Data Cloud (BPDC), and Supplier Data Cloud (SDC) functionality have been made as part of the 2026.2 update. These changes are outlined below and described in the Details section that follows:
-
Data owners can now create Matching Ruleset decisions and activate the rulesets in the Match tuning UI, enabling faster match tuning with clearer ownership and less manual review.
-
Improved List Processing usability by allowing administrators to limit available import and export configurations by list object type, so only relevant options are shown when creating or exporting lists.
Details
Maintain decisions and activate matching rulesets in the Match tuning UI
With 2026.2, data owners can create decisions and activate matching rulesets in the Match tuning application.
What is new
-
Decisions can now be maintained on rules in Matching Rulesets in the Match tuning UI, with the result visible in the UI and in the pair export.
-
Matching Rulesets can now be activated in the Match tuning UI, making them part of the match criteria evaluation for the Match and Merge match action.
This update represents the first step in enabling data owners to manage the match tuning process through a dedicated UI, reducing dependency on specialists. Data owners gain clearer ownership of matching decisions and can roll out changes incrementally, while still collaborating with super users.
The update builds on the Matching Ruleset feature introduced in 2026.1 for early adopters. To get access, send an email to simplifymatching@stibosystems.com.
In addition, documentation for using the Matching Ruleset feature is now available in the Online Help.
For more information, refer to the Match Tuning using Matching Rulesets topic in the Matching, Linking, and Merging documentation.
List Processing: More relevant import and export configuration selection
List Processing now supports limiting the import and export configurations available to users based on the selected list object type.
This makes it easier to find the relevant configuration faster and reduces clutter when many configurations exist. The behavior is controlled through global configuration in the Web UI Main screen.
For details, refer to the topic Configuring List Processing in Web UI in the Data Preparation documentation.
