Summary
The following enhancements and changes have been made as part of the 2026.3 update:

Excessive log output for calculated attributes in the step.#.log files has been reduced to eliminate repetitive entries related to formula and data mismatches, which improves readability and troubleshooting. Refer to the Logs topic in the Administration Portal documentation.

The Self-Service UI has been updated with improvements to the Modular Services page. Refer to the SSUI Change Log and the SSUI Modular Services topics in the SSUI documentation for more information.

The Start Page now includes a link to 'Online Help Documentation', which includes documentation for Self-Service UI (SSUI), Product Data Exchange (PDX), and Stibo Systems Enterprise Platform (STEP). Previously, only STEP Documentation was accessible from the Start Page. For more information about the Start Page, refer to the STEP Start Page topic.

Administrators can now maintain metadata attribute values directly on object type definitions, making it easier to capture and share information about an object type's purpose, usage, and business context. This metadata is available within STEP and can also be exposed to Agentic AI solutions, such as through the Consumer MCP Server, helping AI agents better understand and interact with your data. To better enable STEP integrations with Power BI analytics, the Web UI Analytics component now supports V2 embed token authentication for Power BI users.

The STEP 2026.3 Update adopts the Java platform default locale data, based on the Unicode Common Locale Data Repository (CLDR), in place of the legacy COMPAT locale data provider previously set by default in JVM arguments. This change aligns STEP with current Java platform standards and prepares the system for a planned future move from Java 21 to Java 25, where COMPAT locale data provider is not supported. This change applies to all environments, not only those with customized java.locale.providers. Formatting for dates, times, and numbers may change if it relied on Java’s default locale patterns.
