ISSUE-341658 - Duplicate action fixes
An exception was thrown when duplicating a product in the Web UI's Node Editor when the Duplicate action was used and the source product had an empty name. This has been fixed. Additionally, an empty name will not be shown as '[null]' in the Duplicate dialog for the same component.
ISSUE-354256 - Table Header Workflow Variable read-only popup fix
Fixed a problem where the read-only popup was not shown when a user double clicked on a read-only cell under the Table Header Workflow Variable on the Web UI Node List.
ISSUE-360209 - Approval status icon color fix
Fixed inconsistencies in approval status icon colors between Web UI and workbench.
ISSUE-360480 - Multivalue fix
The method LOVMultiValue.addLOVValueByID (in scripting API) added values to an existing multivalue, but if the previous value in the multivalue did not have a visible value in the current context, that previous value would be replaced by the new value regardless of if it could have a visible ID. This has now been fixed so that it appends to the multivalue as expected, and a hotfix is available for step-9.2-mp3.
ISSUE-367319 - Web UI Node List thumbnail fix
Fixed a problem when thumbnails were not displayed in the popup when a user clicks on a cell under the thumbnail header on Web UI Node List.
ISSUE-369072 - Extension API Search Tab fix
Fixed a problem with the STEP Extension API when the Node Selection Dialog called a null set of object types and the Search Tab was not shown.
ISSUE-370672 - Multi-value separator fixes
Added Multi-value separator parameter to the Value section in the Asset Reference mapping in the workbench export manager. Additionally, the Multi-value separator for exported references was not being taken into account during Smartsheet validation and import, causing errors. This has been fixed, and a hotfix is available for step-9.2-mp3.
ISSUE-371446 - In-Memory duplicate tables fix
Fixed a bug in the In-Memory exporter that caused duplicate tables to be exported in translation mode.
ISSUE-371477 - Missing Mandatory warnings no longer hiding
Fixed a problem when previous Web UI alerts were cleared out by the new alerts, which resulted in hiding the Missing Mandatory warning when the Business Condition warning was being shown during Submit action execution. Hotfixes are available for step-9.2-mp2 and step-9.2-mp3.
ISSUE-372660 - Index Out Of Bound exception fix
Fixed an Index Out Of Bound exception that was shown to users without privileges to submit an item on the Web UI Task List via the Submit From Grid action component. Now, the correct error message is shown. Hotfixes are available for step-9.1-mp5 and step-9.1-mp6.
ISSUE-374584 - Publication export XML format fix
When exporting from a publication into a CSV in the workbench, there was an error when additional Assets tags were opened but were not closed, corrupting the XML format, making it impossible to process the XML further. This error has been fixed. Hotfixes are available for step-9.2-mp3 and step-9.0-mp5.
ISSUE-374940 - Smartsheet validation exception fix
An exception occurred when validating Smartsheet values containing special XML characters that were wrongly unescaped. This has been fixed. Also, a step-9.2-mp3 hotfix is available.
ISSUE-375086 - Smartsheet fixes
The row limit for imported Smartsheet maintenance sheets has been removed. Additionally, the Smartsheet template has been adjusted so that the user is not able to edit cells beyond the pre-formatted cell limit.
ISSUE-375339 - Headers on Smartsheets now auto-resize correctly
Fixed a problem when long column headers on Smartsheets were not auto-resized correctly when auto-size mode or 'Auto-fit cell' was selected during Smartsheet export. There is a hotfix available for step-9.2-mp3.
ISSUE-376294 - Import performance fix
A transaction can generate many events, which will cause business conditions to be executed. It will be the same business rules over and over again. It has been shown that parsing the XML to get the object type group rules is a performance bottleneck - rather than the execution of the business logic in some cases. Therefore, the solution is to cache these rules to increase performance.
ISSUE-376305 - Business condition warning scrollbar added
Previously, on the Web UI Node Editor, when the user wanted to submit an item but a business condition warning was returned, the ignore warning was too wide and could not be fully shown on screen. A scrollbar has been added to allow the full message to be shown. A hotfix for step-9.2-mp3 is also available.
ISSUE-376510 - Translation attribute permissions fix
Previously, when handling a translation of an object with a multi-valued language / country dependent specification attribute, if the translation was imported by a user without permission to 'Modify product attribute value (also translate)' in languages other than language2, then a privilege error occurred because a translation was requested from language1 to language2. Now, the privilege error is avoided when the user has sufficient permissions.
ISSUE-376781 - Classification to Product Link NPE fix
Fixed a NullPointerException (NPE) shown in the Web UI Node List when a user created a Classification To Product Link in the References Table header. There is also a hotfix for step-9.2-mp3.
ISSUE-377570 - Web UI default context privilege fix
Fixed an error where the Web UI was unable to load when a user did not have view privileges in the default context.
ISSUE-377684 - PLM-specific tab fixes
Certain tabs (Specify Ingredient, Supplier Ingredient, Compare Ingredient, Compare Requirement and Compare Parameter) were showing a blank page when specifying a business condition for each tab page on the screen and when the business condition was false. A hotfix is available for step-9.2-mp3.
ISSUE-378283 - Smartsheet exception fix
Fixed a problem when Smartsheet threw an unexpected exception during validation / Node Picker browse tab preparation for the <Parent ID> column. A hotfix is available for step-9.2-mp3.
ISSUE-378348 - Status Selector Widget Task List navigation fix
Previously, when a user navigated from the Status Selector Widget in the Web UI to the Task List (configured as a Status Selector condition in the Forwarding Switch Screen) and navigated to one of the items on the Task List, if the user clicked on the same state in the sidebar workflow, STEP navigated the user to the same item and not to the Task List. This has been fixed.
ISSUE-378394 - Performance fix for asset push
Fixed performance issues when huge files in the asset push client were downloaded. Hotfixes are available for step-9.1-mp5 and step-9.1-mp6.
ISSUE-378435 - Replacement mode fixes
The import of attribute links in replacement mode had some performance problems when running In-Memory. This has been fixed.
Additionally, when importing attribute links in replacement mode that are dependent on two or more dimensions, the resulting visible context was sometimes wrong. This has also been fixed.
ISSUE-378679 - Business condition <BR> tags for Smartsheet
Now, <BR> tags in business condition output will be correctly replaced by the new line character during Smartsheet online validation and error sheet creation.
ISSUE-378925 - Business rule execution error fix
Fixed error occurring when executing the same Business Rule twice in workbench. A hotfix is available for step-9.2-mp3.
ISSUE-379114 - Web UI security vulnerability fix
There was a security vulnerability in the Web UI. This has been fixed.
ISSUE-379271 - Advanced Search plugin fix
The STEP 9.2 Advanced Search feature, which allowed search plugins for the 'Add Reference' action, was not implemented correctly. This could lead to both poor performance and invalid results when searching for nodes to link to. This has been fixed, and a hotfix is available for step-9.2-mp3.
ISSUE-379303 - File Loading Receiver fix
Fixed a problem where the File Loading Receiver, configured together with Asset Importer Message Processor on an Inbound Integration Endpoint, caused a ClassCastException when the user uploaded files in the Web UI to the File Load Area with Swap User parameter enabled.
ISSUE-379309 - Send Diagnostics 'All Servers' fix
Previously, when the server selection was set to the 'All Servers' option in the Send Diagnostics tab of the admin portal, not all servers' diagnostics would be sent. Now, the Send Diagnostics tab no longer includes a server selection option, as all server diagnostics will be sent. A hotfix is available for step-9.2-mp3.
ISSUE-379335 - IIEP BGP multiple file fix
In STEP IIEP when, configured with the 'Hotfolder using meta files' receiver, there was a problem processing multiple files. BGP processed the same file and did not process subsequent files. It was also possible to get a NullPointerException (NPE) in the BGP Log. The error has been fixed.
ISSUE-379549 - Status Selector Widget Task List navigation fix

ISSUE-379998 - Automatic Classification exceptions fix
Fixed a problem where Automatic Classification exceptions in the Allow Rules were duplicated in the workbench. A hotfix is available for step-9.2-mp3.
ISSUE-380008 - Task List multiple alerts now collapse
Now, users will be able to collapse expanded multiple alerts after submitting multiple items on the Web UI Task List. After clicking on the 'Click for details' link on the Web UI alert, child alerts will be shown and the 'Click for details' link will change to 'Hide details.' Clicking on 'Hide details' link causes child alerts to be hidden and the link will change back to 'Click for details' again.
ISSUE-380193 - Additional logging for authentication
Logging has been added to detect how user authentication is performed. A hotfix is available for step-9.2-mp4.
ISSUE-380244 - Integration endpoint parameters fix
Previously, the parameters of the integration endpoint configuration 'Maximum number of old processes' and 'Maximum age of old processes' worked for IIEPs only and not for OIEPs. This has been fixed so that the parameters now work for OIEPs, as well.
ISSUE-380405 - Web UI dialog fix
There was a bug in the Web UI where users were unable to interact with a dialog if it was opened from a context menu. This has been fixed.
ISSUE-380747 - Thumbnail asset content download fix
Fixed a problem where a direct download of the Thumbnail asset content on the Web UI Multi Revision screen did not work for previous revisions; instead, the asset content from the last revision was downloaded.
ISSUE-381664 - Duplicate values on attributes fix
In some cases, dimension dependencies that were removed from attributes led to data inconsistencies with duplicated values. This has now been fixed.
ISSUE-381861 - IIEP meta files receiver file fix
There was a problem with Inbound Integration Endpoints configured with 'Hotfolder using meta files' receiver, where the processed files were no longer moved to the processed / failed folder. This has been corrected.
ISSUE-382072 - In-Memory dimension point deletion fix
In In-Memory, when force-deleting a dimension point where non-LOV base values on references and links existed for that dimension point, there was a bug which caused only partial deletion of values and before failing. This has been fixed.
ISSUE-382102 - In-Memory NPE fix
Fixed a NullPointerException (NPE) when an event processor was created for the first time on a system with In-Memory.
ISSUE-382924 - Move Units To Header transformation fix
When using table transformation Move Units To Header, if the first article had no unit and the second one had a unit, the value from the first article was cut off. This has been fixed.
ISSUE-383099 - Assign action on Node List fix
Fixed a problem where Assign action on a Web UI Node List did not work correctly with Select All selection and filtering applied to one of the Node List columns.
ISSUE-383297 - Submit from Grid selection fix
Fixed a problem where the Submit From Grid action did not clear out the selection after a successful item submission on a Web UI task list.
ISSUE-383435 - Hotfolder NPE fix
Fixed a NullPointerException (NPE) when 'Hotfolder using meta files' was used as a data source for an IIEP. The NPE only occurred if one of the processed files caused an error. A hotfix is available for step-9.2-mp3.
ISSUE-383651 - Clerical Review References table header fix
Fixed a problem where the Clerical Review References table header, configured on the Golden Record Clerical Review Task List in the Web UI, showed duplicate information for different reference types.
ISSUE-384503 - Workbench context switch NPE fix
Fixed a problem where changing the context caused the workbench to throw a NullPointerException (NPE).
ISSUE-384519 - Outdated Google Maps code removed
Removed outdated Google Maps integration code from the JavaScript code for the Web UI, which prevented Chinese users from using the Web UI.
ISSUE-384757 - Score table leaf loading fix
Previously, when the user clicked on the 'i' icon on the Table Header Rank Score or the Table Header Matching Algorithm on the Advanced Merge screen, the score table had issue where, if the user attempted to expand any leaf on the tree, it would load indefinitely. This has been fixed, and hotfixes are available for step-9.1-mp5 and step-9.1-mp6.
ISSUE-385018 - Performance fix for Business Rule editor
Fixed a performance issue that caused long load times when trying to open the Business Rule editor in the workbench. This was particularly noticeable on systems with many business libraries.
ISSUE-385432 - Send Email Business Action plugin exception fix
Now, Send Email Business Action plugin will not fail with an exception if the Mail.DefaultFromMailAddress property is configured but the sender field is not populated. This plugin can be configured as a business action on a workflow transition.
ISSUE-385482 - Fix for Memory leak in background processes
There was a memory leak related to temporary files being created while running background processes to calculate data profiles. This has been fixed, and a hotfix is available for step-9.2-mp3.
ISSUE-385556 - Upload Asset Dialog image name fix
There was a problem where an uploaded image name was not correctly sanitized from the file path during asset upload through the Upload Asset Dialog via the Referenced Asset representation component on the Web UI Node Editor. In that case, a file with name of 25+ characters was treated as 40+ characters, and therefore prohibited from upload. This has been fixed.
ISSUE-385914 - Token fix for SSO
The STEP token solution used for SSO for the workbench had a problem in that a file-lock on the key file was not released correctly. This could potentially cause workbench startup problems when the shared filesystem is a Windows filesystem. This has now been fixed.
ISSUE-385976 - Design Mode workplace restriction NPE fix
In Web UI Design Mode, certain Web UI components (such as Name, ID, and Value component) were throwing a NullPointerException (NPE) when attempting to add the components to a screen when the user had restricted certain workspaces (for example, allowed only Approved workspaces) while still in the restricted workspace (for example, Global) in the URL session.
ISSUE-386116 - Business rules exception fix
Previously, there was an issue when business rules referenced other business rules on the Initiate Item screen in the Web UI. When new items were created and the business rule had an error regarding the workflow state entry, an exception was thrown. This has been fixed so the exception is no longer thrown.
ISSUE-386311 - Temporary DTP document property added to sharedconfig.properties
Added a new property 'DTPDocumentUpload.TmpDir,' to sharedconfig.properties, which allows the creation of temporary DTP documents to be done on a shared folder. Hotfixes are available for step-9.2-mp3 and step-9.2-mp4.

Fixed an XSS vulnerability in Web UI alerts.
ISSUE-387043 - Asset Configuration dropdown fix
On the Web UI, when the Asset Representation component had the Advanced Asset Import Compatibility Mode enabled, the Replace Asset Content dialog was missing the Asset Configuration dropdown selector. This has been fixed.
ISSUE-387679 - OIEP empty CSV file fix
Fixed a problem when OIEP delivery did not ignore empty CSV files.
ISSUE-387918 - Web UI cache memory fix
A cache used by the Web UI cached too much information, which caused the application server to run out of memory. This was particularly problematic in Web UI components where tables for a large numbers of nodes were shown. This has been fixed, and a hotfixes are available for step-9.2-mp3, step-9.2-mp4 and step-9.3-mp2.
ISSUE-387923 - Thumbnail fix for Web UI
Fixed a problem where .PDF thumbnails were not shown correctly under the Thumbnail Header on a Web UI Node List. A hotfix is available for step-9.2-mp3.
ISSUE-388041 - Data Profile rendering fix for products
The Data Profile component now renders properly in Web UI for product and classification types.
ISSUE-388163 - Link Metadata Values now editable
Now, it is possible to edit Link Metadata Values on a Link Attribute Column on a References Server component for local dimension-dependent links / references in the Web UI.
ISSUE-388164 - Overset frame fix
When a STEPCOND was mounted in InDesign, if the frame was overset, the STEPCOND would not be resolved and the <STEPCOND would be seen on the mounted page. This has been resolved, and the overset STEPCOND is resolved.
ISSUE-388400 - Reference import attribute value fix
Previously, when importing a reference to an object that did not exist in the database and is defined later on in the import file, and within the reference definition, an attribute value on the reference was defined previously, the attribute value was not set. This has been corrected so that the attribute value is populated.
ISSUE-388413 - Node Details display correct selection
Now, the chosen Node Details selection will correctly reload after saving changes on the Show Details section under the Node List Table Display mode in Web UI. A hotfix is available for step-9.2-mp3.
ISSUE-388484 - Table fix in the workbench
There was a problem where newly added tables were not appearing in the list of tables until after a reload in the workbench. This has been fixed. Hotfixes are available for step-9.1-mp5, step-9.1-mp6, and step-9.2-mp3.
ISSUE-389199 - Workflow editor performance fix
When the workbench's workflow editor was opened, there was a lag in performance, especially if there were a lot of business libraries or business rules in the workflow. This has been fixed.
ISSUE-389908 - Background process code fix
The code that counts the number of background processes has been improved to be more resilient. A hotfix is available for step-9.2-mp3.
ISSUE-390123 - SAML authentication exception fix
In SAML authentication, an exception was thrown when logging out of Web UI after being authenticated. It is now possible to create a custom rule to prevent the exception being thrown.
ISSUE-390309 - Additional logging for importing unique keys
Additional logging has been added to the thread used in relation to importing unique keys in order to determine root cause. This is because the thread is suspected of failing, which causes the main import thread to fail. A hotfix is available for step-9.2-mp3.
ISSUE-390556 - Publications menu scroll fix
Users are now able to scroll through the menu items when right clicking on Publications on the workbench Tree navigator. Hotfixes are available for step-9.1-mp5, step-9.1-mp6 and step-9.2-mp3.
ISSUE-390868 - Thumbnail edit selection fix
Previously, when a column with thumbnails was configured, the edit field in the Web UI would jump to another row, resulting in confusion about which field was being edited. This has been fixed.
ISSUE-390982 - East Border Panel flicker fix
Fixed a problem where the East Border Panel was flickering when it was being resized if it had a Value Section component configured on the Web UI Node Editor.
ISSUE-391013 - Character fix for Node Editor
Fixed a problem where LOV values with less than / greater than characters were not shown correctly on the Web UI Node Editor after choosing and saving the values.
ISSUE-391206 - STEP Publisher script fix
Fixed a problem where a script running on a STEP Publisher server failed if it made a REST API call to the STEP application server with authentication.
ISSUE-391263 - Table Header Value Group attribute filter fix
Fixed an issue where invalid attributes were shown under the Table Header Value Group component after filtering items on the Web UI Node List to hide items for which these attributes were valid. A hotfix is available for step-9.2-mp3.
ISSUE-391438 - Context / workspace Web UI fix
Fixed an issue so that users do not see a context or workspace which is not configured in the Web UI.
ISSUE-392409 - Reference object link fix
An intermittent error occurred when the reference object link was clicked. This has been fixed.
ISSUE-394978 - Import Image and Documents Object Type fix
In the Import Image and Documents wizard in workbench, if a user selected an object type for uploaded assets, then Object Type on the Asset Upload Dialog details section was shown as 'Detecting...' even though it had already been chosen. This has been fixed, and a hotfix is available for step-9.2-mp3.
ISSUE-395020 - Exporter fix
Fixed a problem in exporter when not running In-Memory. The error would only happen if the export was using product sequences and filtering on classification object types at the same time. Below is an example of an advanced STEP XML template, that would cause the problem:

ISSUE-395114 - Redirect fix for Node Editor with Details Overlay
Now, users will be redirected back to the Web UI Task List if the last item has been submitted from the selected state on a Web UI Node Editor with Details Overlay. Hotfixes are available for step-9.3-mp3 and step-9.3-mp4.
ISSUE-395438 - & fix for Smartsheet Node Picker
Fixed an issue where classification or product names that contained '&' in the ID or name were shown as '&' in Smartsheet Node Picker for references and classification to product links. A hotfix is available for step-9.2-mp3.
ISSUE-395461 - Publication export fix
In the workbench, the selected publication object will no longer be replaced when publication objects or products are exported. A hotfix is available for step-9.2-mp3.
ISSUE-396092 - NPE fix for auto classification rules
Fixed a NullPointerException (NPE) in the workbench when loading auto classification rules.
ISSUE-396756 - Global Data Container fix
Fixed a problem where the default Global Data Container Representations configuration was used instead of the one desired on tab page with lazy loading enabled on the Data Container component of the Web UI Node Editor.
ISSUE-396839 - Orphan attribute warning alignment fix
In Web UI Node Editor, an orphan attribute warning was not correctly aligned in Internet Explorer. This has been fixed, and a hotfix is available for step-9.2-mp3.
ISSUE-397486 - Exception handling improvement for Asset Representation component
Previously, a NullPointerException was thrown during asset replacement on the Web UI Node Editor's Asset Representation component. Now, the exception thrown will be more informative and logged in the app server logs.
ISSUE-398605 - Redirect fix for Node Editor with Details Overlay
Now, the user will be redirected back to the Web UI Task List if the last item has been submitted from the selected state on the Node Editor with Details Overlay parameter.
ISSUE-398825 - Workbench menu fix
Workbench menus now fit within the workbench window or within the display (min. 600 pixels). However, the user will still need to manually resize the workbench window to have the menu re-rendered to fit, e.g. it is not enough to move the window between screens. Hotfixes are available for step-9.1-mp5, step-9.1-mp6, step-9.2-mp3, and step-9.3-mp3.
ISSUE-399168 - Translation process fix
Previously, translation processes failed on In-Memory-enabled systems when products considered for translations were deleted at the same time the translation process was being executed. This has been resolved, and a hotfix is available for step-9.2-mp3.
ISSUE-399797 - Use Auto-ID import fix
An exception was thrown during a data container import with In-Memory when 'Use Auto-ID' was enabled and no ID was specified. This has been fixed, and hotfixes are available for step-9.3-mp3 and step-9.3-mp4.
ISSUE-399993 - Filtering entity references in export
A customer-specific configuration has been implemented to change the way entity references are exported when filtering to a specific entity object type. Hotfixes are available for step-9.3-mp3 and step-9.3-mp4.
ISSUE-400096 - Product Sufficiency Card optimistic locking errors resolved
There was an issue that caused optimistic locking errors to appear when the selected item was saved and approved after certain changes the Product Sufficiency Card component, which is configured on the Web UI Node Editor. This was because the sufficiency component was generating data containers at the same time the item was saved and approved. This issue has been fixed.
ISSUE-400281 - Background process execution order change
There was an issue with how background processes were prioritized. Previously, the background processes created first would always be started first. However, some background processes were rescheduled or reused over and over, which means the old creation dates would trigger these processes to be executed before other background processes. This was problematic if the background queue was always full, as newer background processes would never begin. This has been fixed, and a hotfix is available for step-9.2-mp3.
ISSUE-400409 - Error message clarity fix
Additional information will be displayed about tasks in error messages. Hotfixes are available for step-9.0-mp3, mp4, mp5 and step-9.2-mp3.
ISSUE-400843 - Classification to product link fix
Now, inherited classification to product links will be correctly shown under the Table Header References component in Web UI.
ISSUE-400955 - Object creation fix in workbench
Previously, when creating an object in workbench that had an active unique-key, the creation dialog would override values for the object even if the user did not supply values in the creation dialog. This overruled on-creation workflow action created values, although there was no reason for this. This has been fixed, and a hotfix is available for step-9.2-mp3.
ISSUE-401077 - Thumbnail image fix for Node List
The thumbnail image has been fixed so that it correctly displays in the popup when clicking on the thumbnail header's image on a Web UI Node List. A hotfix is available for step-9.2-mp3.
ISSUE-401542 - Token fix for SSO
The STEP token solution used for SSO for workbench had a problem where a file-lock on a special lock file (used for controlling key files) was not released correctly. This could potentially cause workbench startup issues when the shared filesystem was a Windows filesystem. This has been resolved. ISSUE-402021 - Delete Confirmed Match action fix
Now, the Delete Confirmed Match action in Web UI will only be shown if the user selects an item on a matching-specific Node Lists. A hotfix is available for step-9.2-mp3.
ISSUE-402102 - Trailing spaces fix for STEPSYS user ID
When creating a new STEPSYS user ID, trailing spaces are now trimmed.
ISSUE-402347 - Redirect fix for WebStart

ISSUE-403432 - Allow Duplicate Values checkbox fix
Fixed an issue where the checkbox 'Allow Duplicate Values' was missing in the multi-value LOV values popup editor in workbench. Additional issues related to the selection and deselection of these values were also fixed. Hotfixes are available for step-9.3-mp3 and step-9.3-mp4.
Performance Enhancements
ISSUE-383833 - Workflow Historical Line Dashboard performance fix
There is a performance fix for the Workflow Historical Line Dashboard home widget in the Web UI. Lazy loading has been introduced to avoid unnecessary calculations, and the SQL that calculates average / max time in a workflow has been reconfigured to perform better. Additionally, a general improvement to performance has been implemented on anything using the workflow dashboard.
Patch Recipe
The 9.2-MP5 baseline patch can be installed with the following recipe:
spot --upgrade=step:9.2
